Try a question

Get it wrong, and it tells you why.

Every question knows the usual wrong answers: a wrong answer gets a hint about that exact mistake, then a worked solution.

  • Three levels, Basic to Challenge, that step up as you get answers right
  • Hints, a scratchpad and read-aloud
  • Wrong answers go into the mistake book to try again later

Our approach

Started by a retired maths teacher.

Blue Maths is made by a retired Hong Kong maths teacher and family.

  1. Understand, then practise

Every topic starts with a short lesson and worked examples.

  2. Mistakes are clues

Hints answer the usual misunderstandings, and mistakes come back until they are fixed.

  3. Just the maths

No ads, no lucky draws and no mini-games in the way.

Questions

Questions parents ask.

Does it cost anything?

Every feature is free at the moment.

Do I need an account or an app?

No. Open the website and start; progress is saved on the device. To sync between phones, tablets and computers, sign in with Google or your email; we suggest a parent does. In a phone or iPad browser, choose “Add to Home Screen” to open it like an app.

Does it follow the Hong Kong curriculum?

Yes. The 69 topics from P1 to S3 are arranged on the Hong Kong primary and junior secondary curriculum, and the English follows Hong Kong textbooks.

Chinese, English or both?

Any of the three, and you can switch at any time. In 中英 the English sits above the Chinese.

Who is it for?

Students from P1 to S3. Every topic has three levels, so a child can start from the basics or go on to challenge questions, and go back to earlier years at any time.

Can teachers use it in class?

Yes. The teacher tools make worksheets with answers, preview every topic’s questions and let you add your own.

What about privacy?

Without an account, learning records stay on your device. When you sign in, progress is stored in the cloud so it can sync. Student profiles need only a nickname; we do not sell data and there is no ad tracking. See the Privacy Policy.
